I’m a reporter, editor, and producer with a decade of experience in journalism. Starting as a producer for NPR’s Weekend Edition, I went on to report on energy and environment issues in Fairbanks and Utqiaġvik for the state-wide public media venture Alaska’s Energy Desk, and have subsequently worked for NPR’s desks and shows as an editor on stories across a broad range of topics including health, climate change, politics, culture and art. I’m currently the Western Bureau Chief for NPR. My work has taken me to the Southern Texas border, the Arctic Ocean above Siberia, and the northernmost town in America, and has appeared on Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Here and Now, Weekend Edition, Short Wave, Life Kit and Business Insider. I’m based in Seattle.
